Comcast (CMCSA) shares edged higher after announcing a collaboration with Cisco (CSCO) to deliver advanced connectivity solutions for enterprise clients. The partnership leverages Cisco's Meraki platform, a mesh networking system originally developed from the Roofnet Project, to bolster Comcast's secure networking offerings.

"Secure, scalable connectivity is no longer a luxury, it's a business imperative," stated Terry Traina, Comcast Business' SVP of secure networking. The integration aims to provide Fortune 500-grade reliability for growing businesses through Meraki's suite of switches, firewalls, and network optimization tools.
